Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Mokokchung was sanctioned in the year 2002 under the host Institute of the Directorate of Agriculture, Govt. of Nagaland and started functioning from the month of May ‘2006. It is situated at Yisemyong, 16km from the district headquarter, with an area of 57.4 acres of land adjacent to State Agricultural Research Station (SARS) under Department of Agriculture, Govt. of Nagaland.

The Kendra was officially inaugurated by Dr. C.D. Mayee, Chairman, Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board ICAR, New Delhi on 26^th July 2006. The foundation stone for the Administrative Building was laid by Shri. Neiphiu Rio, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Nagaland on 25^th Sept. 2007. The Administrative building was inaugurated by Dr. K.D. Kokate, Deputy Director General (AE) ICAR, New Delhi on 7^th September’ 2009.
